The study included eight donor countries (Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden), which were studied and compared among themselves in terms of their organizational structure responsible for the management of BDC, relationship between the political and development agendas, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the development agency in the field, level of decentralization of authority to embassies or development agencies’ country offices, modalities of cooperation and types of implementation partners.
