Assessment of the Effectiveness of Public Enlightement and Social Campaigns (CZ.1.06.2014.221.028)

In July 2015, the Institute for Evaluations and Social Analyses (INESAN) conducted a survey called “Assesment of the Effectiveness of Public Enlightement and Social Campaigns”, which examined the attitudes of the public to public enlightement and social campaigns.

The results produced within the project survey are presented below.
The first outputs in the form of short articles bring selected results of the survey. The survey focused on campaigns concerning skin cancer and its prevention. The first article thus discussed a concept of a public enlightement event as the skin cancer prevention. The article provides information about the trust of Czech inhabitants in the effect of individual campaigns. Attention is paid also to the way how Czech inhabitants perceive skin cancer enlightement campaigns. The article describes the level of awareness of the cutaneous melanoma, the level of awareness of public enlightement events, and the level of willingness to participate in a public enlightement event at least once. Another article dealt with the perception of risks of development of skin cancer by persons exposed to risk factors. The article focuses on the description between the perception of the risk of development of skin cancer in persons who have experienced sunbathing and subsequent burning. Last but not least, attention was focused on the perception of the risk of development of skin cancer by various age groups of inhabitants.
