Non-governmental organizations as partners: Obstacles in the EU cohesion policy?

The EU Cohesion Policy requires the interaction of the public, private and non-profit sectors in policy making. The Czech Republic presents an ideal case study for identifying the major obstacles to the successful implementation of this approach since Czech citizens evaluate Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in their country as having less capacity to influence policies at the lowest level than NGOs in any other EU member state.

Leaflet illustrates the main findings from the survey conducted as a part of project no. CZ.6.06.2014.221.014, entitled ? Research and development in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic?. This leaflet identifies the main characteristics of potential partners in research and development projects. The evaluation of the importance of selected characteristics and typology of subjects with which the organizations in research and development projects frequently collaborates was further analyzed. Data published in the presented leaflet is based on a sample of Czech organizations that was selected by stratified random sampling; 204 telephone interviews (CATI) were conducted.

Methods of implementation of research, development and innovation in industrial enterprises

Leaflet illustrates the main findings from the survey conducted as a part of project no. CZ.6.06.2014.221.014, entitled ?Research and development in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic?. This leaflet identifies methods of research and development project implementation within organizations. Furthermore, the performance of actual and planned research and development projects is analyzed and the capacity for its implementation is estimated. Data published in the presented leaflet is based on a sample of Czech organizations that was selected by stratified random sampling; 204 telephone interviews (CATI) were conducted.

Performance measurement indicators used in Czech organisations

Leaflet illustrates the main findings from the survey conducted within the project no. CZ.3.01.2012.221.002, entitled ?Performance measurement systems in Czech organizations?. Analysis describes the main performance indicators that Czech organizations monitor to evaluate their own performance. Results describe the selected indicators in seven areas: financial indicators, indicators related to customers, employees, operational processes and innovation, as well as indicators of the quality of products orservices and those related to corporate social responsibility. Data published in this leaflet is based on a sample of Czech organizations that was selected by stratified random sampling; 331 telephone interviews (CATI) were conducted.

Relevance and evaluation of calls for proposals from the point of view of industrial enterprises in the Czech republic

Leaflet informs about the selected findings of the research conducted within the project nr. CZ.6.06.2014.221.013 called "Evaluation of Administration of Projects Co-financed from EU Funds". Results inform about the evaluation of relevence and the way of calls for proposals publishing from the point of view of industrial enterprises. Furthermore the issue of problematic aspects of calls for proposals is analyzed. The main objective of the whole project is to identify and evaluate the experience of industrial enterprises in different phases of the process of drawing subsidies from EU Structural Funds.

Analysis of Awareness of Operational Programmes and Projects Co-financed from EU funds

The article deals with the analysis of the awareness of the population of the Czech Republic about operational programs, projects financed through European funds and the evaluation of the benefits of these projects. Through this analysis, the effectiveness of communication at the level of operational programs is examined in general. In connection with the awareness of the implemented projects, attention is also paid to the confrontation of areas actually supported by European funds and the preferences of the population of the Czech Republic regarding the areas of European subsidies.

Application for assessing the effectiveness of trade-fairs and exhibitions

Software enables the organizations to perform self-evaluation of effectiveness of participation at the trade-fair or exhibition. Software is primarily designed for exhibitors and provides userfriendly environment for complex monitoring and evaluation of different phases of the preparations for the trade-fair (e. g. promotion, trade-fair or exhibition medialization, attendance of exposition) based on predetermined key indicators. Software compares the values of achieved key indicators with the defined goals; achieved values could also be compared with the overall benchmarks and with the results of other organizations.
