Project description: |
The involvement of enterprises in research, development and innovation is a topical issue not only from the point of view of national policy and economy, but especially for the enterprises themselves, which see these activities as one of the possible ways to maintain their competitiveness. Therefore, the project focused mainly on the attitudes and perceptions of the representatives of individual enterprises, which provide some guidance on the state of the approach of Czech industrial enterprises to R&D&I activities. The main objective of the project is to evaluate the current state of R&D&I in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic and to identify the planned use of R&D&I in the future. In particular, the methods of current and planned project delivery and funding methods, the amount of funds allocated to research projects, the conditions for the implementation of R&D&I and the factors influencing the involvement of organizations in R&D&I, the characteristics of (potential) partners in R&D&I, the characteristics of cooperation between R&D&I entities, the main outputs of R&D&I projects registered and reported by industrial organizations, the methods of implementation of R&D&I, investment in R&D&I and the volume of distributed resources, the perception of the conditions for R&D&I (e.g. perceptions of R&D&I, tax incentives, technical facilities) and the extent of R&D capacity.

Six articles were written in the first wave. The first one focused on the performance of VaVaI activities by own staff, and tries to answer the question for conducting own research by internal researchers and developers. The second article drew attention to, focused on what forms of cooperation in VaVaI are applied by industrial enterprises within and outside the supply chain. The third article dealt with the issue of the volume of existing research and development capacities in industrial organisations, and the fourth one discussed, in whole and in part, the VaVaI results registered by the monitored enterprises in the last five years. The fifth article brought findings related to the amount of funds determined by organisations for activities within VaVaI, and the sixth one focused on the structure of funds determined for VaVaI from the point of view of the origin of those funds and their purpose.
In the second wave, two popularising articles bringing some findings from the relevant project were written. The first article concentrated on the types of entities cooperating with industrial enterprises in operating VaVaI; the second article focused on the evaluation of the cooperation with those entities within VaVaI by the industrial enterprises. |
