We are pleased to announce the completion of our three-year research project “Home by Home – The architecture of residential social services for seniors focused on the ergonomics of provided care”. This initiative, a collaboration with Delpsys and APSS, was designed to revolutionize the way we build and renovate homes for the elderly. Our journey began with a simple yet profound goal: to increase the satisfaction of both clients and staff in residential social services.
Our multidisciplinary team of social service professionals, psychologists, designers, and architects developed a unique textbook. This guide provides a comprehensive tool for evaluating the ergonomics of existing or planned buildings to ensure that they meet the nuanced needs of elder care. It is not just a book; it is a repository of recommendations and insights for designing spaces that promote individual care, psychological well-being, and active leisure for the elderly.
The textbook, the culmination of extensive research and field studies, is now being launched and will be available soon. It is a testament to our commitment to improving the lives of older people and those who care for them.
